Movement Analysis
How We Treat
Delta Plus Therapy Service is a movement and gait analysis center in Seattle committed to the study of human movement for the sole purpose of understanding gait and movement abnormalities in adults and children. We recommend the appropriate treatment based on our findings by providing a comprehensive examination of your gait and movement, using modern equipment to examine your body and muscle activity while walking. We have all the tools, techniques, and trained personnel required for examination and treatment.

What is Movement Analysis?
Movement analysis, also known as gait analysis, is a comprehensive study of your body walking style. It takes the coordination of your bones, joints, and muscles into account to reveal any defects not identified during a regular body assessment. By understanding how your body moves as you walk, our physicians can analyze, plan and offer the best treatment for you, whether it be surgery or physical therapy.

The average person takes between 5000 and 7000 steps per day, so any issue you may have with walking can have an extremely detrimental effect on your quality of life. Issues can stem from disease, developmental abnormalities, or even injury, but whatever the case may be, our professionals are experts in helping you move painlessly.

What can I expect during a movement or gait analysis screening?
Your doctor begins the analysis by reviewing your medical history with you. He or she then studies your walking style to detect if there is any abnormality. Once our team of specialists performs a total analysis on your body movement, they then review the findings of the report and make a recommendation.

Typically, the report is tailored depending on your specifications. In some instances, your doctor may advise surgery, but a physical therapy plan is also an alternative treatment.
After your gait analysis at our Seattle physical therapy clinic, our team of experts develops devices to help you move more naturally while using less energy through a rehabilitation procedure.
